The San Isabel National Forest includes most of the high country surrounding the upper Arkansas River. We are fortunate to be permitted to conduct wade fishing trips to the lakes and streams of this region. We fish glacial lakes above treeline, beaver ponds tucked away in the forest, and cascading alpine streams. Where we go depends on time of year, your desires, and the degree of physical challenge you can handle. There are lakes that require several hours of hiking and streams we can drive you to. These trips are available May-September. Full-day trips meet at either office at 8:00 am. Includes lunch.
