When many Colorado rivers and streams are experiencing runoff from the spring snowmelt in late May and into June, many of the mid-elevation reservoirs in the Upper Arkansas River valley experience good hatches and exciting fishing. Approachable by a variety of craft, we fish these impoundments from rafts, driftboats, or belly boats.
